Chris Brown wasted no time in suing the French model who accused him of rape earlier this week. On Thursday, January 24th, he filed a suit against the 24-year-old woman for defamation. Raphael Chiche, a French attorney, filed the suit on behalf of Brown and the suit cites a criminal statute relating to invasion of privacy that carries a one-year prison sentence.

The lawsuit comes after the woman accused the singer, his bodyguard and one of his friends or raping her in his suite at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Paris on January 16th. The three men were detained and released 24 hours later. Brown denies that he had “sexual relations of any sort” and even called the woman a lying “bitch” in an Instagram post, which he has since deleted.
