Missing Tennessee Girl Found Alive, Father Charged With Rape

After being missing for more than two weeks, a 14-year-old Tennessee girl was found alive in Wisconsin on Thursday, January 31st.

Her father, Randy Pruitt, is charged with rape and the girl is “going fine” according to Sheriff Tommy Jones of Monroe County, Tennessee. Pruitt was the girl’s adoptive father. The girl went missing from her Tennessee home on January 13th

The sheriff did not provide many details because the investigation is ongoing and there is a potential for additional suspects. He told reporters, “At this point, we are still investigating there’s a possibility of multiple other charges coming forth with multiple people involved.”

The identity of the girl has also not been revealed as she is a victim of sexual assault and a minor. The sheriff does not believe that there is any connection between the girl and the Wisconsin residence in which she was found. Pruitt is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, February 5th.
