Clint Eastwood stars in the new film, The Mule, a story about an octogenarian drug courier. The movie is based on Leo Sharp, a man who fell down on his luck and got involved in the drug trade. According to the lawyer, Ray Richards, who handled the matter early on, Sharp (referred to in the film as Earl Stone) had no idea he was working for a huge Mexican drug cartel. Sharp was sentenced to 3 years in prison. He died in 2015. He was 92.
