Harvey Weinstein Arraigned Again
Updated: Aug 23, 2019 Former Hollywood producer and co-founder of Miramax, Harvey Weinstein, is scheduled to be arraigned on an indictment in connection with his upcoming trial. In 2017, dozens of women accused Harvey Weinstein of rape, sexual assault, and sexual abuse. The different accusations span a time period of at least 30 years. After these accusations became public, over eighty women in the film industry came forward with similar accusations. As of yet, the reasons for the new indictment have not been made public. Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance’s spokesman, declined to comment on what the indictment is for. Weintstein’s attorney, Damon Cheronis said that Weinstein would be in court on Monday where, “He’ll enter a plea of not guilty because he is not guilty.” The district attorney’s office accusations are that Weinstein sexually assaulted two women, in 2006 and 2013. Updated: May 11, 2019 Nipsey Hussle’s brother Samiel Asghedom, or otherwise known as Blacc Sam, has recently filed a petition to become the administrator of his brother’s multimillion-dollar estate. Asghedom claims no one was legally appointed to handle Nipsey’s fortune after he died without a will. According to legal documents, Asghedom is seeking to become the administrator of the estate that has an estimated value of more than $2 million. Asghedom claims that there has been an incline of business opportunities in the month that followed the murder of Nipsey. He also wants to ensure those business offers get pursued in a timely and proper manner. Updated: May 8, 2019 1:25 P.M. Singer and songwriter Britney Spears has filed for a restraining order against her ex-manager Sam Lutfi. Documents obtained by sources claim that both the singer and her family were requesting a civil harassment restraining order against Lutfi, 44. According to the legal documents, Lutfi allegedly pretended to “have a professional relationship with Ms. Spears, even falsely claiming to have been her manager.” However, Lutfi got removed from the singer’s life back in 2009, when she got a three-year-long restraining order against him and later placed under conservatorship. The Clinton Eastwood Trust sued Molecular Defenses Corp (MDC) last year, claiming that they had illegally acquired a patent that got derived from research of a late physician that the trust claimed it helped to fund. R. Kelly’s Accuser Wins Civil Case
Updated: April 24, 2019 / 5:43 PM A woman wins a civil case after accusing R. Kelly of sexual abuse. She has won the case by default against Kelly after the singer failed to respond to her lawsuit and not showing up in court. The woman who accused Kelly of having sex with her repeatedly when she was 16 years old, filed the case in Chicago back in February, a day before Kelly was arrested and taken into custody on a total of 10 charges of sexual abuse. The woman is one of four accusers – three of which who were underage at the time of the alleged crimes – at the center of the criminal case against the singer, according to Jeffrey Deutschman, her lawyer. The woman who won the case is identified as “H.W.” in criminal court filings. Chicago City Planning to Sue Jussie Smollett for Half a Million Dollars
Updated: 4/11/2019 3:37 PM PDT Chicago city is planning to release a hammer on Empire star, Jussie Smollett after pressing lawsuits against him. From this, he may go on trial effectively for allegedly being involved for the staged “attack” back in January. The City is demanding Smollett to pay upwards of a half a million dollars as reimbursement for all the costs the city paid during his case. As previously reported, the city threatened to sue Smollett if he didn’t pay $130k to cover the cost of investigating a case that was faked by him. Phone Smashing Lawsuit Is Settled Against Conor Mcgregor

It now appears there was a legal agreement established to put this incident to rest. As previously reported in the media, 22-year-old Ahmed Abdirzak sued Conor for battery, assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress over the incident that took place on Match 11, at the Fontainebleau hotel. Abdirzak claimed Conor “flew into a rage and punched [Abdirzak’s] smartphone out of his hand” before “stomping on the phone repeatedly.” Abdirzak was suing for around $15,000. Tyka Nelson, the sister of the late musician, Prince, is now owing three firms more than $850,000 who had been assisting her with the legal matters involving her brother’s estate. ET Famous Rapper Nipsey Hussle has been confirmed dead on Sunday afternoon after a shooting in Los Angeles took place near a clothing store which he owned, according to a high-ranking deputy of the Los Angeles Police Department. Smollett was charged by the State’s Attorney’s Office with a felony of disorderly conduct for filing a false police report. In an indictment that his attorney called “overkill,” the grand jury handed up two sets of charges: One for Smollett’s initial report to Chicago PD and the other charges are for his second interview with the police. The brothers involved in the staged attack on Smollett told grand jurors that Jussie hired them. Conor McGregor Posts Bail After Smashing Fan’s Phone in Miami
UPDATED 2019/03/12 4:00PM MMA fighter Conor McGregor has been arrested again. The pro fighter was brought in for allegedly smashing the phone of a fan outside of a hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. According to TMZ, at 5AM Monday morning, Conor and the owner of the phone were walking out of the hotel at the same time, at which point the fan attempted to snap a picture of McGregor. The brothers were initially arrested as suspected attackers after Smollett reported that he was attacked by two men who shouted homophobic and racial slurs, doused him with bleach and left a noose around his neck. R. Kelly Leaves Jail After Posting $100,000 Bail
UPDATE 2/26/2019 Robert Kelly walked out of a Chicago jail on Monday, February 25th, 2019 after posting a $100,000 bail that will allow the R&B singer to go free while he awaits his trial. R. Kelly Charged With Sexual Abuse of Four Victims, Three of Them Minor
UPDATED 2019/02/22 5:00PM Kelly has been indicted on 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in Cook County, Illinois. During a press conference, Kimberly Foxx, the Cook County state’s attorney announced the charges, saying that a grand jury indicted the singer on 10 counts involving four victims identified as “H.W.,” “R.L.,” “L.C.” and “J.P.” Three out of four of the victims were under the age of 17 at the time of the alleged incidents. The incidents took place in the years between 1998 and 2010. The statute of limitations has not run out on the alleged incidents. Foxx noted that each count is a Class 2 felony in Illinois and carry a potential sentence of three to seven years. Kelly has been facing allegations of assault for decades, but the full extent of his actions was brought to light with a docuseries Surviving R. UPDATED 2019/02/21 Kim Kardashian has long been critical of fast fashion brands who use her iconic high-end style to create cheap knockoffs versions, but now she is taking that criticism a step further by taking one of those brands to court. Kardashian filed a lawsuit against Missguided USA, an online retailer that sells outfits that are very similar to those worn by celebrities, for using her name and image without her permission to advertise those knockoffs. In the lawsuit, Kardashian cites multiple examples of when Missguided posted its own versions of an outfit Kardashian wore and posted herself on Instagram within days or hours of her posting. Chicago PD Looking For Suspects In Jussie Smollett Attack
UPDATED: 2019/01/31 3PM Chicago police have located a surveillance camera that shows potential persons of interest who are wanted for questioning in connection with the heinous attack on Empire actor Jussie Smollett. They have released photos of two dark figures who were seen on video near the scene of the attack. According to Chicago PD Chief Communications Officer, Anthony Guglielmi, “While video does not capture an encounter, detectives are taking this development seriously & wish to question individuals as more cameras are being reviewed.” Smollett was attacked on Tuesday (1/29/19) after leaving a restaurant in the early morning hours. According to police reports, two suspects approached Smollett, yelling racial and homophobic slurs at him before they began punching him, pouring chemicals on him, and tying a rope around his neck. Allegedly they also screamed, ‘This is MAGA country.’ Both males were wearing black clothing and one was wearing a black mask. Smollett has been hospitalized for his injuries. Roger Stone Enters Not Guilty Plea
UPDATED: 2019/01/29 Longtime Republican campaign advisor and friend of Donald Trump, Roger Stone pleaded not guilty to seven criminal charges of false statements, witness tampering and obstruction of justice on Tuesday, January 29th, 2019. Stone was the 34th person charged by Mueller. Of those 34, seven have plead guilty. Stone had been accused of lying to investigators about his communications with WikiLeaks’ publication of emails meant to affect Hillary Clinton’s campaign against Trump in 2016, threatening a contact of his whose testimony would have contradicted his, and coordinating with the Trump camp about his outreach to WikiLeaks. Chris Brown Sues Rape Accuser for Defamation

On Thursday, January 24th, he filed a suit against the 24-year-old woman for defamation. Raphael Chiche, a French attorney, filed the suit on behalf of Brown and the suit cites a criminal statute relating to invasion of privacy that carries a one-year prison sentence. The lawsuit comes after the woman accused the singer, his bodyguard and one of his friends or raping her in his suite at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Paris on January 16th. The three men were detained and released 24 hours later. Alec Baldwin Pleads Guilty to Harassment
UPDATED: 2019/01/23 12:30PM Actor Alec Baldwin pleaded guilty on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019 to harassment following a parking spot spat with a Manhattan motorist on November 2nd, 2018. The 30 Rock actor and SNL Trump impersonator pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment, which is only a violation, and will pay a $120 fine. He also agreed to take anger management classes, which he must finish before March 22nd, when he is due back in court. In the lawsuit, Rihanna claims that her father, Ronald Fenty, started a talent development company in 2017 called Fenty Entertainment. Rihanna has already trademarked Fenty for a number of her own (very successful) business ventures such as her clothing and makeup lines. The singer claims that her father is profiting off of her hard work to make Fenty brand recognizable. Gloria Allred Compares R. Kelly’s Response to Sexual Abuse Allegations to None Other Than Donald Trump
Famed attorney Gloria Allred held a press conference on Monday, January 14th with Faith Rogers, one of the women who claims R. Kelly abused her, engaged in sexual battery and gave her a sexually transmitted disease without disclosing he had one. At the press conference, Allred said that R. Kelly is retaliating against Rogers in response to those allegations. A Facebook page called “Surviving Lies” allegedly posted photos of Rogers after the docuseries Surviving R. Kelly aired. Previously to the photos being posted, Rogers said that the photos had been sent to her with the threat of being released to the public. Allred said that the Facebook page (which was quickly taken down) was the doing of someone on Kelly’s team. Stormy Daniels Is Suing Columbus Police Department Vice Officers Over 2018 Strip Club Arrest
Stormy Daniels, former porn star and Trump mistress, is taking some of the vice officers from the Columbus Police Department to court claiming that they only arrested her at a strip club in 2018 because she spoke out against President Trump. Daniels claims that the officers entered into a conspiracy with one another after learning that she would be making an appearance at the club. That is when they decided to go undercover–their only intention being to humiliate her, ruin her reputation, and retaliate for speaking up about her affair with Donald Trump on 60 Minutes. She also claims that her civil rights were violated because of her false arrest and imprisonment, and now she’s suing for damages. For their part, the Columbus Police Department did acknowledge that the arrest was a mistake and there was a federal corruption probe into the matter.

According to the former Pretty Ricky band member, who just turned 34 was busted on December 28th, 2018 for DUI, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving and resisting an officer. According to the police report Pleasure P, whose legal name is Marcus Ramone Cooper was seen weaving in and out of traffic at a speed estimated to be over 100MPH. According to the Miami Herald, a Miami Beach police officer observed Pleasure P’s SUV (which was illegally tinted, by the way) traveling 100 MPH in a 45 MPH zone in South Beach.
